[video] Quick Tour of my Current Office

June 18, 2010 · 7 comments

During the past year or so I’ve found myself all over the map: Ireland, England, Germany, Hawaii, New York City, Atlanta, and of course making stops in my home town Indianapolis.  When I’m out and about I work from my laptop but I thought I’d give you a look into my local nest. My home base. My website factory. Web Logic Now‘s world headquarters.  Whatever you call it, when I’m in town this is where I post up.

This video is a bit rough around the edges, but hey, I’m trying to get into the habit of sharing my creations despite their lack of perfection.

[In the beginning I reference "abandoning being normal".  That thought doesn't get explained in this video.  I'll save that for another day.  And the sunglasses? Yeah.  I got those in Hawaii.  They don't quite have the same effect in Indiana that they did on Sunset Beach, but hey, I wear them now in memory of those times ha]

What do you think of my office?  Isn’t it interesting how the “world of work” is changing these days?

Bah I’m so jealous of your office! =)

Your office rocks, and the video was very well made too!

Nice video man. Those shades are ridiculous. They need to be a trademark for your company somehow. Maybe incorporate them into the logo. Ha. Legit.

Is that like a 3 hour commute? Cool office gig… I like the idea that you can be productive from anywhere. Does new experiences, i.e. travel, enhance creativity?

I like the editing… Max Headroom was ahead of his time. Did you get the shades idea from him?

@Cecilia, Aaron, and Nathan: Thanks guys. I’m really enjoying the new office. And thanks for stopping by the other day Nathan. Hit me up whenever you’re in town again.

@Doug: For me, new experiences like travel don’t enhance creativity but really boost my motivation. I get laser focused and tend to have a clear perspective about what current tasks are most important as well as what direction I want to go next.

@Anthony: Thank you for the kind words. You one of my best commenters and I really value your feedback!
