Nathan and Drew- thanks for sharing the day through your video! The video is very professional and it's obvious that you have talent as well as passion. Nathan, hope you and your family enjoyed a great holiday. Look forward to seeing you in the new year and hope it's off to a great start. If you're interested, we have a box of scrap material you are welcome to. We love our "Nathan Monk" originals - the pieces add so much to the studio. Thanks for sharing your creativity, perspective and passion!

@John - Thanks for the compliment - I had a blast creating the video :-) I'd like to do more interviews with people who have a story to tell... maybe I'll start a site called TheLegacy.com or something. A place to honor people who are doing cool things hmm

@Mitch - The camera is a JVC Everio (non-HD with two memory slots and no internal memory). It's nothing exciting but it does the trick. The software I used was Cyberlink PowerDirector. Again, not the best but it has the basic features. By the way, Mitch, you're my 100th comment on the blog!! Woohoo! :-)

I just got done piecing together my group's senior design presentation, we recorded ours and pieced it together with the powerpoint slides, editing out mistakes and whatnot. I wouldn't call that one fun, but that's mostly because it was really straight-forward, and the content was not very interesting, I couldn't use music, or neat transitions or anything like that. And I have the free version of the software that came with my camera (JVC *.mod file format is basically incompatible with all other video editing software). Anyways, overall it was satisfying in that it turned our pretty nicely, and the process was somewhat fulfilling other than all the technical difficulties I had bringing it together. Just curious, what camera and software do you have?

Great video! Good choice of music! This is the kind of stuff we need more of: a spotlight on local talent. And this video does a very professional job of doing that. Nice work you two!

Thanks, Lynne! Amazing story about the music selection - while I was filming Nathan said, "You know what song would go good with all this? 'Knights' by Minus the Bear". And he was right. :-)
