I have two simple life goals: to create significant relationships and accomplish significant tasks.
One way that I accomplish both of these is through my work as a website developer. As most of you know, I develop website for a company I started in 2002 called Web Logic Now. Over the past 8 years I have created many significant relationships with people I’ve met through my work. Also, together with my awesome clients, I’ve helped accomplish significant tasks.
Some of the people I get to work with are people around the world whom I don’t have the luxury of sitting down face-to-face with. To help people get a better feel for me and my work, my idea is to create a series of videos called a “virtual interview.”
In these virtual interview videos I will answer various questions that people may have about myself, my history, and my work. My idea is to put these in a section of my website that will allow people to “ask” me various questions they may have. The questions will be listed, they can select one, and the video will play with my “answer.” Sure, it’s not perfect, but I think it will be fun! (and allow people to better meet me from around the world)
Here’s where I need your help today.
Can you help me brainstorm virtual interview questions? Ask yourself, “If I were to hire a website developer, what questions would I ask? What’s important to me? Price? History? Timelines? Communication? Plans for the future? Security?”
I know you’re already eying the “back” button on your browser! But don’t run away just yet. Take a minute and help me out? Thanks guys.
